Yup, lots of us are admins now. I have no idea why! As far as I can tell it is purely symbolic and does not give us any actual administrative powers.
As for the benefits of making songs short, I've done it on a number of tracks. I remember when I made You Can Never Go Home Again. I knew it would have a greater impact if I kept it as concise as possible. Also, I wrote it about someone who died in their 20's, so having a song that seems to end too soon seemed quite appropriate.

Exactly! I have quite a few favorite songs that are only a minute long or whatever. A song only needs to be as long as it needs to be.
